Yes, I hope everyone has a better year next year. Mine almost ended in disaster, with a mortgage broker trying to swindle me into a loan. They produced documents for a 3.5% 30 year fixed ... too good to be true, huh? Yep, I called the lender the next day and found out it was actually 6.5% ... a difference of about $600 a month in payments ... Same thing happened to someone else (using the same mortgage broker) five days prior. He was not so lucky, and did not rescind the loan in the 3 days you have to do that ... I did.
If you want more gory detail, here's a link:

Aside from that, I've switched jobs twice this year and have got a great one now and things are generally outstanding. I hope the same (good stuff, not the swindling part
) for all of you that frequent the board.
Merry Christmas!

Soon
I've got a name for it (can't use the Wizardry name without buying the franchise rights) and a name for the world where it takes place: Llylguardinus

If you and a group of others are putting out a Wiz 9 even if you can't call it that Let me know. I'd be happy toi pay cash for a copy.

Well, Rick has the name set. All we need is a little bit of design and implementation work.

Ya, minor details ... I am working on that too
Once Avatar and someone else buy a copy at $100,000 each, we should be able to buy the franchise name and fund development (of a prototype).

If I should hit the lottery or otherwise come into the cash I sure as heck would love to invest in it.

An idea just hit me. If there are enough of us fans out there maybe we all can come up with enough cash to do this. Figure 2000 fans + $100.00 = franchise.

... about 10 years ago. There were about 5 million copies of Wiz 7 sold, so if just 1/10th of 1 percent of those people bought my editor, that would be $50,000. The interest was not as high as I had hoped (drop it an order of 10 and that is about where reality is). And I had an actual product
Interesting idea though ...
p.s. even though we show 1092 "active" users, it is really 1092 "registered" users. The active ones are not nearly as numerous.

I did my part, I bought a copy of your editor. What happened to the rest of them?
