I usually Ascend between levels 22-25. I have decided to forestall that in an attempt to get my characters skill levels up to 100 in multiple areas. Currently, my characters are level 30-32. All I seem to fight are snakes, gazers, unicorns and demons. Will I see any new or tougher critters? Also, what is Quetzocaotal? Wiz is still teh best game going in my himble opinion, and I come back to it every 4-6 months or so after trying something else. Merry Christmas to all, and to All Seasons Greetings.....

I think it depends on what area you are in, as to what "new" stuff you will see. Anything "new" will likely look familiar though, and just be a variation of something you have seen before (like the Elementals you can encounter in AP).

As to the Quetzocaotal, I think it is a variation of the flying snakes ... not sure if it was one of those things that are in the game physically, but never show up (unimplemented feature)?

Yes, Quetzocaotal is available more modders, but does not make any appearances in the unmodded game.
