The BG at the sea caves I found was extraordinary for that level. I was getting 4 to 6 groups of 4 Curare Crab for about 500K each battle. IIRCI already killed off Al-Rilk (off-spring) so that's not an option. Though that would be a decent battle at my parties level at that time. I remember that in the next game.
Magma Scorchers (2.somthing mm each) seem to be rare. I've only seen about 4 or 5 so far. I would like to figure out where they spawn most often and try to find a BG spot to duck into.
My hunt continues.
Does anyone know what the highest EP monster in the game would be?

I found one .. don't know about he best. If you start at the center of AP (inside the 3 gates) and head towards the offspring battle area, stop just as you come up the last rise before the battle field. Turn around and stay toward the right and you will find a small crevasse, back down the slope a little ways ... back into their and turn a bit towards the right. You should be able to see somewhat in both directions .. the way you came in (to the right) and the edge of the battle field (on the left).I found that if I camp there, I tend to be regularly assaulted by Gazers on the left and Elders on the right (sounds like a song
). If you cast shadow hound before camping, both groups (they tend to show up together) are far enough off that you can get a round or two of buff spells off before engaging. From this spot, if you do it right (test before camping), you can also cast level 7 Elementals. This tactic works good for me as the elementals tend to head off towards one group and I tackle the other.
If you engage the gazers, the Rapax Prince (if he is still alive) tends to jump in and try to help you out ... though I have found him to be ineffective.

LAST EDITED ON Aug-06-06 AT 05:49 PM (Pacific)About how much XP are you getting for these encounters and how often?
As far as highest XP monster in game - its the Armegazer - level 50 monster w/ 5,678,190 xp.
Im using Mad God's editor to create what basically amounts to an "Experienced Expert" game.
I'm tripling the amount of monsters that spawn in each group and for each "area" Im adding an additional really tougher monsters that have double the xp of their highest counterpart for that area, but are doubly hard to kill.
For example, for Lower Monastery Ive created Ecto Slimes, which are much harder than Emerald Slimes, higher level, and have twice as much xp.
Im hoping this mod will allow me to have a 6-char party that is capable of getting to Level 50 without having to play the game hours a day for a couple of years.
I'm even going to throw in the missing Quetzlcoatl in Ascension Peak.
I've already finished modifying the Monastery and my party is having a blast fighting off groups of 18 bats, 9 green slimes, etc.
Always remember the Tleilaxu Epigram:
Here lies a toppled god
his fall was but a small one
we did but build his pedestal
a narrow and a tall one.
