"Killing the fog?"

I've beeen playing Wiz 8 for the first time two months now (level 15 characters), and it's deffnitly a classic. Just wondering if there is a way I could remove the fog complitely or increase draw distance further than the options menu allows. I looked at configuration file but couldn't find anything there. Not a big deal if it's not possible, but would be good if it is.

Thanks in advance.

I don't belive there is a way to do that.

I just started a new game last week (after an extended break from Wizardry) and thought the same thing.

Nope, had it confirmed by one of the Sir-Tech staff in the early days of release, the draw-distance is hard-coded (it does apparently vary from one area to another, as far as I can tell the distance appears to be further when in "indoors" areas).
