"Ring of Fey - Item Levels/Shops - BlackBelt of 5 Flowers"

Posted by sphynx on Dec-09-05 at 01:57 AM
3 distinctly seperate questions.... please....

1) Is it possible to make Ring of Fey worth having? It has some awesome bonuses for my passed out ninja, but he's always sleeping as he wears it. I even accidently Camped with it on, and had to go through 10 minutes of him commenting over and over and over and over again about how he's "recovered" from passing out.... Seems like a great item, but I can't find anything to counter the stamina loss.

2) I read somewhere (lost the site though) that certain items only appear in an RPC's Shop if your level is high enough. Is there a chart or something to verify this against, so I know what level I need to get the cooler things at Ferro's when I get there (Infinity Helm, Golden Breastplate, Platinum Greaves, Cloak of Rainbows, etc)?

3) I saw on Mad God's editor that the BlackBelt of 5 Flowers is an item. However, it wasn't on the Import list so I didn't try bringing it over, and I haven't found one anywhere. Is it actually in the game anywhere? I'll work on updating the Import list once I finish my first attempt at the game to include all the items that aren't listed, but can't test yet....

If memory serves me correctly, you make it out of various other flowers.

Unfortunately, there is only 1 flower in the whole game, the Blue Flower. The Zuzu Petals and Gouda Vines are the only other vegetable items in the game, and they are needed elsewhere. I think you got Wiz-7 in mind.

I thought you were asking where it was in 7, so you could try to import. I think it is not listed in the import list, because it does not exist in Wiz 8.

Well again, I only comment on things here everyonce and a while, but I seem to recall PP'ing the Black Belt of 5 Flowers from someone in the game. My first thoughts are that it may have been from a Rattkin or (don't ask why) Umpani character. I don't recall if someone has a list of available items from each RPC on the web, but if someone knows of a way to pull up that information it would be greatly appreciated.

Though it may never be found. But the item exists in the database and it even has an "wizardry item id" = 249 which is exactly the id of the Bbo5F in W7.

The possible/allowed import list is already complete on the Flamestryke site. Items which W-8 does not include on any map may still appear on the editor because they were removed or planned but never used in the release version. You can put them in the game yourself by editing the loots. There are also many things in both games that won't import for balance reasons.

There are several items that increase stamina as they are worn, although the most common one ("Necklace of endurance") can only be worn be female characters and is useless otherwise. "Locket of Reflection" also regenerates Stamina, also only usable by female chars.

Thte Amulet of Nebdar is also a +Stamina item, but it's wasted on a Ninja, I think.

The Canezou Robe (found in the Rapax Realm) also regenerates Stamina, although you may not want to use it, because of roleplaying aspects.

That's all items that I know of.

Yeah, I ended up with the Canezou robe as well. It's the best 'torso' armour for a Ninja. I just couldn't let that Ring of Fey go. +7 to AC is too much to throw away.

Amulet of Nebdar I've not found yet. Is that on Ascension Peak?

BTW, found out that those items of Ferro are only sold when you become a Templar, that's the only requisite it seems.

The Amulet of Nebdar is so powerful that it's very well hidden and accessable rather late in the game. I didn't find it when I first played through Wiz8, had to be spoiled as well (first time through was a zero-spoiler game for me).

Refer to the Spoiler board for further hints...

PS: Ring of Fey was the reason that my Martial Arts team (2x Monk, RFS-81 + Ninja) had a female Elven Monk as a member

The Balckbelt of Five Flowers is proudly owned by a certain T'Rang fellow. You may convince him to willingly part with it, or you may have to use someother means.

Please clarify which fellow? I've killed them all and never seen the belt....

Unfortunately the fairy and the ninja don't have many stamina regen options.

The best they can get are:

cainzou robe
sprite dagger ( decent in offhand with the Cain of Corpus )
amulet of nebdar
locket of reflection

Personally I always have my fairy ninjas dual weilding COC + sprite dagger and using 1 fey ring and the cainzou robe. That way they regen stamina even when running and I can give the amulet of nebdar to someone else.
