... at least I think it's just before ascending! I don't know because... the system freezes! I meet the Dark Savant on Ascension Peak. The bomb in Arnika doesn't explode. He ascends. Bela says follow me and flies up to the portal. Then nothing. He's up there flapping his wings. I can turn but not move. Eventually my party members start speaking their "I'm bored, nothing's happening" lines. But I can't move. The cursor is an hourglass. I've waited upwards of fifteen minutes. I've reloaded the last game. I've reloaded the save game before that. I've rebooted the computer. I've sacrificed a chicken to Umpa-Loompa, the great god of chocolate.

Any ideas?

Don't think it's a bug. Sounds like a corript system file . Ypu could try saving ypur savegames tp another area, uninstall the game, ewunstall rhe game, amd move yoir saved savegames back. It's drastic, but...

I know of this problem. I had it once on my own computer, and I found a simple but unsatisfying solution:
Just keep waiting. I remember that I used the time for some productive work in the garden, while the
computer was running. When I returned after one hour, Bela had vanished into the Circle. So I don't
know neither the exact time it took him for this little flight nor the reason why it took him so much
longer than usual, but finally I could proceed with the game. And yes, this kind of bug was something
really annoying.
