"´Myles and more"

Posted by farl on Jan-20-05 at 00:00 AM
My party recruited Myles and Vi a time ago, heading to Trynton. Now they returned to Arnika to sell/purchase some stuff. When my party entered the town, Myles said something like "my fellow Higardis left *plenty* of stuff behind".
Maybe I overlooked something during my first conversation with Myles, and his remark looks like a hint. Unfortunatelly I cannot communicate with him any longer after he joined my team. I'm planning to dismiss him, talk to him to get some clue what he was talking about, and hire him again.
But I'm a bit reluctant because I vaguely remember a bug related to dismiss an NPC in a region where another is placed (Vi, in this case). Could a kind soul shed some light on this issue?
(btw, I'm playing version 1.2.4)

He's just making his standard comment for entering Arnika. In the game story, the Higardi have abandoned the city, so there's supposedly lots to loot. He won't tell you any specifics outside of the "myles quests" which don't amount ot much anyway.

The RPC bug is: if you release an RPC in a Zone that has any unrecruited RPC's (or booted ones) any number of them can disappear. (so release on a road, etc.)

Ack, I released Myles in Arinka when I haven't rescued Vi, and when I went into crash site. She's not there!! What can I do? Is there any way to get her back or she's disappeared forever?

One disapponted gamer.

Do you have a backup copy of an earlier save ? If not, finish this game Vi-Less and, in your next game, make sure you have an empty slot BEFORE you enter Arnika.

SirTech used to replace Vi but that was years ago. They are too out-of-business to do that any more.
