Hi...im very new to the game and there are things im not gettin....now it says that shift is used to cast spells is this for non-combat only or what?? Is there a way to put items in a quick use area..like click a certain button and it uses a certain item or somthing and finally...How do you identify items i have a rouge who is suppose to be my good one at it..but every time i right click it or use the inspect item in the inventory menu it just gives me basic information and does not identify it..is my guy need more exp in identifing or what???

Huh? Where does it say this? Certain spells can only be cast in or out of combat ... shift does nothing to change that.

Nope.

Yes, he needs more artifacts skill.

The higher a charactors Artihact skill is the more likely they are to identofy an item. There is a spell Identify Item that can be cast to do this.

Intelligence is a factor in identifying items. If your rogue's intelligence is low, he will increase the skill slowly. Check the Artifacts skill on all your characters. The one with the word Artifacts in yellow will be the highest skill of your group. That will probably be a spellcaster or bishop.
