"About continuation possibility (I need to say - SPOILER?)"

I saw some posts that talk about posibility about Wizardry9,
But how can that be??
In the end of the game there are some ways to finish the game, so how Wizardry9 will be, in some ways to begin??
Wizardry' story need to go on by the games, doesn't it??

With the company out of business, it will be fairly tough for a continuation of the series.

I'm curious too... has the storyline been pre-chosen for a wiz9? Seems like the story runs out with the killing of the nemesis. H

Out of business at all
or out of the business about the game?

During the production of Wiz 8 plans were drawn up for Wiz 9. Sir Tech wanted to get BOTH funded and nailed down. They got Wiz 8, so what was done on Wiz 9 was put in a corner and is still collecting dust.

IF Wiz 9 ever would come to light will probalby depend more on the demise of game stations more than anything else.

Oh... the past bad guy is gone, but evil has a habit of just changing names...

"Speculation on Wiz 9 plot"

They dropped some hints at the end. The Dark Savant demands to know where the Cosmic Lords have gone, and Alethides refuses to answer.

Maybe the Cosmic Lords are occasionally replaced by a new band of sword-swingers. Maybe The Cosmic Lords went back to their roots as level 1 samurais/rangers checking out a castle. Or maybe out current band will get bored and return to their roots.

Maybe RFS-81 will meet and greet the new Cosmic Lords just as his android buddy Alethedes did.

I thought there was talk (maybe it was my own, out loud or in my head) about a "back to the roots" new story line for Wiz 9 ... without the high-tech, sci-fi elements.

Why speculate? In this case if it is truly 'DEAD AND GONE' try and ask Linda and Ian, I'm sure they might be happy to provide the details, what there were of them.

This "hint" for Wiz 9 doesn't answer the question.
In Wiz 9 what gonna be your party??
Cosmic lords??
Dark lords??
(If you tried all posibillities)

Maybe out current band will get bored and return to their roots as level 5 adventurers with an Elven Bow, plain arrows, a studded Hauberk and no pants. (Thats how one team arrived in Wiz 7). Maybe they will arrive that way in Wiz 9 after they hand over the universe to a new team of adventurers.

I propose the "wake-up-and-it-was-all-a-dream" strategy employed so often in t.v. serials.

I hope they do away with the standard fantasy races and bring back our old friends the Umpani, T'Rang, Rapax, Trynnie, Rattkin... those would actually be interesting to play.

I don't think it goona be "wake-up-and-it-was-all-a-dream",
it's spoils everything...

some gamers might need to "wake-up and realize it was all a dream" if they think Wiz 9 will be released.

hey, try getting Dungeon Lords this fall instead. DW Bradley is updating his Wizards & Warriors franchise. the videos and screenshots look wonderful. i've been looking forward to that so much that i've been trying to play W&W these past few weeks, but it laughs at me for each attempt. *sigh*

I might be interested in DL but only after some reviews confirm a reasonable buglessness. I liked alot about W&W but the bugs were really annoying.

The question I have is it still a go? I have not found anything newer than 10 months old on it.
