"Cheating for a good reason"

Hi!

After a couple of finished runs with no glitch, I've encountered the bug which makes Vi disappear forever. I no longer have any savegame prior to the event.

Do you guys know of any Wiz8 savegame editor that permits editing of NPC party member?

Thanks!

SirTech replaced her in one of my savegames. It happens when you release an NPC in Arnika. Not every time, just often enough.

I accidentally killed off Vi in my latest Wiz 7 transfer team. We landed at Mt Gigas and Vi left us there. When I got to Arnika I released Saxx THEN saved game. Big Mistake. Then we entered the busted spaceship (Saxx vanished) and opened the door and fought the battle. Vi wasn't there. Can't get her back.

I have heard you find her in He'Li's when you release her, tho I don't know this from experience, I still have her with me on my first pass thru Dominus. I am having trouble with sometimes not being able to hear her when she speaks... is this part of that bug or a different problem? (I didn't try to reload the game). H

I, too, have the situation in which Vi appears to be speaking, but no words come out. I think it's a different bug, because I've have never lost her.

I did get Myles killed when I fought a battle near the Arnika entrance. He wasn't with the party and was out of our sight but joined in. He got wasted and the party got a bag with his goods once the battle was over.

I lost Myles a different way.

He was not in the party and was wandering around the entrance to Arnika like he usually does. During a battle close to him he "Ran for his life" out the city gate. Stayed out there the rest of the game. Showed up as a green dot on the map outside the gate when you were in Arnika. Could not find him or see the green dot when on the road.

Since I was through with him, I did not go back to a previous save game.

"Different boundaries"

I noticed that with monsters one time, at the Arnika Road and Arnika/Trynton road junction. There was a monster that I was pursuing, but could not reach or target, due to the scene boundary ... yet there was the monster, sitting (or standing) out there, beyond my reach .. in their "safe zone"

Not at Arnika, but at the exit of Trynton to A-T Road.

As you stand at the west exit with your back to the bridge, facing A-T Road, move to the green rock wall to the right. Hug the wall and move toward the spot where you normally get the "Proceed to A-T Road" message. You can squeeze past that message and into A-T Road. Walk slowly and carefully down the road until you die.

This trick can also be done in the Swamp. Walk under the northeast corner of the Swamp bridge. There are two exit points on the south-west side of the river. You can also exit/die if you walk too far upstream or downstream.

the patch eliminates the problem where Vi disappears forever. actually, i think a statue sucks her in.

so anyway, are you patched? you can patch it and then reload your last save from before she goes buh-bye and all should be okay.

There is a different one than Vi disapearing in the fountain and from what Sirtech told me back when I sent a save game it is not something they could fix.
