Is it possible to have more then 3 attacks per turn and 3 swings per attack(I know about Lightning Strike,Gadgeteer, double or tripleshoot crossbows or slings) in the statistics?

If so on what level I must be?

100 dexterity + weapon skills + close combat + high enough level for a fighter type, should get 4 swings per attack
100 speed + weapon skills + dual weapons + close combat + high enough level for a fighter-type should get 4 attacks
at what level is high enough, I know not, probably 25-30
a fighter with his close combat skill bonus should get there faster, as will a samurai with a sword and wakazashi (sword bonus), and a monk with hands and feet should get more, since no need for dual weapons
exact levels are unknown to me, however. but, in Wiz 7 it was possible with max dex and speed and high level to get 4 attacks with 4 swings each, even for a thief, though it took 20 levels to get the 4th attack.

I recall recently reading where someone had better strikes with certain shields - I have 2 characters equipped with (I think) Thieve's shields and I had thought this caused an increase but am not certain. Myles is with me, he is a level 9 I think, and is taking at least 2 turns per round and between 2 and 3 strikes per go, yet he doesn't have this shield. (not on my home computer, would have to go back & look at all my stats more closely). I'm sure interested in increasing my odds. I had a Rawulf ninja until recently who just couldn't do a very good job in combat - I think he will be much happier now that he's a ranger (level 12/novice). I don't think any character with me has better than say 77% in any area but maybe they have passed this up. H
