"Same-Class Party"

Hypothetical question here, and I can't recall if I've seen it elsewhere on the thread (though I don't think highly enough of myself to assume I'm the first one to have this question, I can't find it anywhere else):

If you were going to create a 6-character party where all members were the same profession, what would be the best profession to use? Of course this precludes class-switching, since you could start with 6 ninjas and change so that everyone has everything.

A 6-ninja party wouldn't have mage skills, or the ability for the back members to attack every round in the beginning. All-bishop gives you two different spellbooks, but no hiding (except Blink) and very limited weaponry.

So I'm thinking all-bard? Mage spells *and* hiding, plus legerdemain/skullduggery? Plus some ok short-range weapons and some bows. Or maybe all-monk, you'll eventually get Knock-Knock, great with hands or longer-range weapons, and Mind Flay (which admittedly is not that great).

Get at me, people! I'd love to hear what the Wizardry brain trust has to say about this question.

I feel like this has been a discussion topic ... but can't recall, in the 20+ years when or for sure what the verdict was. For some reason, I am thinking Ninja .... best array of fighting choices + mage spells?

I am 100% sure I have seen discussions/posts about an all same class Wizardry 7 party over the years.

If I recall, the general consensus was to use an all ninjas or all rangers party.

If you have patience you can start your search here: http://www.postcount.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?47-Wizardry-8

And, if you want to go through my links page which includes a ton of sites I've recovered, there is a good chance you will find something: http://www.zimlab.com/wizardry/links.htm
