When I look at weapons stats and see something like:

Bo
Damage: 1-6 (+1)

What does the +1 mean? I assume it means that the damage is effected by strength. If so, what's the formula? I'm pretty sure it's not 1 extra damage per point of strength.

Just one extra point of damage. Basically, role one six-sided die, add one to the result.

Thanks! The numbers I would see supported this, but it seemed too simple, and made me think "Gee, why not just make it 2-7?"

I think you're thinking of what Identify shows in W6, Llevram -- in W7, Identify shows 2-7 if damage is 1d6+1, and the + in parenthesis is a + to hit

I had to read that about 5 times, before I got what you were saying

So, then the Cane of Corpus would be represented by: 6d6+6 (+4)

Ya, I was failing to make the distinction between a plain old plus and one in parenthesis.

(+1) means a bonus to help your weapon hit more likely (+6) for a light sword helps your weapon make contact very likely!
