So searching through the threads it looks like I'm not the only one plagued by this problem of my chars CC not going up when their STR increases.

I have the tools necessary to alter the CC of my party but I'm just curious if anybody knows what your CC should be for any given STR? Instead of adjusting it to some arbitrary number I'd like to set it to what it should actually be - if that is possible to know anyway.

There is a tool - http://www.the-spoiler.com/RPG/Sir-Tech/wizardry.6.1/ - made by Mike Marcelais which solves the CC bug.

Copyright (c) 2001 Mike Marcelais. All commercial rights reserved.

FixCC is a utility that will adjust the carrying capacity of the characters
in your Wizardry VI savegame.

In Wizardry VI, your character's carrying capacity is based off of their strength and vitality. However, due to a bug, the Wizardry VI game calculates a characters carrying capacity at the start of the game, but never updates it as their strength and/or vitality increase.

Because some of the best armors in the game are very heavy, and by the end of the game you are carrying a large number of "important items" that the game will not let you discard, having a high carrying capacity is relatively important.

To use: run fixcc from the directory where you installed Wizardry VI. It will print out all six of your characters, along with the old and new carrying capacities.

(Disclaimer: I take no responsibility if this tool destroys your savegame, or causes any other unexpected behavior.)
