LAST EDITED ON Jan-21-09 AT 04:33 AM (Pacific)After many years I dug out my old wizardry VI and VII once again, and they're still great.
Perhaps 10 years ago I met with a strange bug. It was in the basement of the Amazulu pyramid, where you exchange the bag of sand for the idol of Mau-Mu-Mu. I didn't use the bag so my party fell into the room below. There was a fight and afterwards i made one step forward (or sideways? can't remember). After that i saw two paper-thin walls stretching ahead and got a message something like "you are in rock", my party died and the reaper screen appeared.
Anybody met the same fate?

LAST EDITED ON Jan-22-09 AT 01:09 AM (Pacific)I can remember this happening, but I never thought about it any further. For me it was just one of the traps that naturally occur in dungeons and RPGs, and that gave me some hints how to proceed and what might be the better option to continue the game. So i simple avoided to step into it and moved ahead.
Yes, that's about what I expected.Funny though that a message was implemented for a situation that should never have occured in the game.
Anyway it's great to see that after all these years this game is not forgotten.
Two funny things about mapping. First time through a got confused by all those maps and made a "side-view" showing how all those dungeon levels connected with each other. Bane is much more consistent than Crusaders, all maps fit together nicely. In Crusaders the maps overlap if you put them together.
Using the Wizard Eye Spell and approaching giant mountain from each side it is possible to create a 3-D map (small cardboxes ;) ) of the mountain. Ever tried that?
