I've tried labourously to get an old computer working, and i finally got wiz 7 working. But only the keyboard works. And nowhere in the manual does it specifically say how to manipulate a ladder with only the keyboard. If anyone knows how, it'd be wonderful.

for Wiz 7 - Crusadors of the Dark Savant, press C to Climb a ladder.
for Wizardry 1, the forum you posted in, it should give the options immediately when you get to it.
