"Problems with Wiz1"

Hello everyone,
I'm a huge Wizardry fan....I have a question regarding the Apple Emulation version of Wizardry 1. For some reason I cannot find the option to pool gold. Is there such an option in this? Also, When a character dies and I try to use the recover utility, it fails to recover. I'm using Apple win and select the scenario image for the recovery. It states recovered but the characters are still dead or "out"..

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Wizfan

no 'pool'. what you have to do is trade with a character, don't trade any items, and trade all the gold. (but i think you already knew that)

and for 'recovering' lost or dead characters, may i suggest making a backup directory on your hard drive, and backing up the emulation directory (or just the needed files) each time before you play. if something unforseen happens to your characters, exit out of the program and copy the backup directory to the emulation directory and start again! at least that's what i always did.

Thanks for your help!

I thought there was a pool gold option but it's been so long since I've played the original Apple version.

I've been backing up the scenario images so that seems to be working for me..

thanks again!!!!
