"Favorite Wiz 1 secrets"

I remember playing Wizardry during high school on my Apple and later on as an adult on my Nintendo.

I knew of the bishop's secrets, but I loved using the following ones...It didn't really make me feel like I was cheating as I was putting in the time to gain the levels and gold.

1. I always created lots of "bankers"...these were normal fighters, but I took there money and gave it to one character, then deleted the bankers and created new ones...After awhile, I would have about 20,000 GP to buy more sophisticated equipment for my characters.

2. I sent my characters into the 1st level over to the Murphy's ghosts...They would fight them with their sophisticated weapons and keep collecting EPS...My cleric healed them as they go low on hps...once the cleric used up the spell points, it's back to the Inn for some level gaining.

Happy Gaming!

chuck,

i was all about the 1st level murphy's ghosts!! ~700 exp for 1, ~1400 exp for two. i could finish each fight in ~10 seconds, so it was ~6000 per minute! to top it all off, i would just pop in some early pink floyd cds and just zone out.

to this day, when i hear certain pink floyd sonds, i hearken back to my days of wiz 1.
