I've downloaded this and it works, for the most part. Thank you for the suggestion as paying over $200.00 for the UWA seems a bit excessive
I cannot, however, create a backup disk: I go through the steps, but then end up with a message "Cannot backup to a Wizardry disk"
Nor does the Wizfix downloaded work. This may have something to do with not being able to create a backup disk. It opens up just fine, but when I go to the page that is supposed to list my characters, the details are gibberish and the program crashes.
Any Ideas on what is not working right? Or what I might be doing wrong.
i had an apple emulator specifically to play wiz 1 it had a virus in it tho' so be careful what u download.i've also managed to use the img2dsk software to create wizardry on a 3.5 disk and now i can play it wherever i go (even computers in stores, take that werdna!)
how does one get a version of wiz 1 that plays thru dosbox? i always problems with that.. since the original game was programmed with its own version of dos..
..amazingly i once managed to copy the original wiz disk (years ago) just using the old dos copy commands.. i don't for the life of me know how i managed to pull that off.. (thanks trebor!)
happy grinding to all!
