Hi all,

These forums are great. I didn't know so many people were still playing Wizardry games. I picked up the UWA awhile back and played for a bit but I recently got back into it and started on Wiz 1.

Anyway, my question is this: I know it is good to have a ninja in your group because of the damage but I also thought the ninja's AC would reduce quicker. Right now, it is lvl 11 ninja with a natural AC of 5. Should it be lower (like -1 per level)? How does the AC reduction work with a ninja?

I couldn't find any answer on the net and thought this would be the best place to ask.

In the Apple version it is -1AC for every 2 levels.

It starts at level 3 IIRC (maybe level 2). Anyways, so to be -10 natural AC you would have to be level 23 or something like that... so you eventually at high enough level the ninja has the best AC in the game, although once your characters get to AC-2 or -4 and beyond you are not getting hit often, at AC -8 and beyond it's kinda fun to just stand there and have the monsters swing and swing and swing and almost never hit you.

I must have a gliche in my version. I'm at level 32, and I've bottomed out at AC -3. The last 4 level ups have not improved my AC. I'm using the Wizardry Archives version of W1.

... dragging around a piano in your swag bag :? Encumberance may be your issue (unless you are talking natural AC).

Hello,

You have to find a special weapon for ninja: yatagan. After you have to buy a plate mail + 2. Good luck.

To gain the benefits of Ninja armour your charater must not be equiped with any armour or weapons?? whatsoever... otherwise the ninja natural armour cancels out.
