"Wizardry companion needed"

Playing Wizardry is fun, but it's even more fun with a little competition, gossip and thought exchange. I'm finding myself with some early parties in Wizardry 3 and 5 and I'm wondering for example if it's necessary to kill the Ruby Warlock in Wizardry 5. I don't want to read a walkthrough, though, since usually you get to know much more than just the one thing you're curious about. Anyone up to explore the depths of the Maelstrom or to carry on the Legacy of Llylgamyn as well?

No don't kill him unless you want to - he just wants the bottle of soda and then he'll let you through.

I can be a wizardry five companion if you like. I have just finished mapping out the first level and am about to move down into level 2 in force.

I also decided that there was little difference in doing the save game, level up, reload-if-you-don't-like-bonuses thing and using a hex editor to resetyour character's stats, so I spent last night playing around with a hex editor on my Wizardry Archives wiz5.sav file. I worked most of it out, I think. I haven't figured out some of the more irrelevent stuff, but I will get there.

The only info I could find about it wasn't at all related to the WizArchives stuff, and was very sparse besides.

If I make it a website, would you like the link?

Regards,

Nemir

What version of W5 did YOU play? A bottle of soda?
Or was it joke I didn't understand? ^^

The SNES version of W5 censored some words. Bottle of Rum -> bottle of soda. And I think 'the fountain with water the color of BLOOD' was changed too but I don't remember what to.

Oh my god! How senseless is this?

I understand censoring of some uber-violent games or nude-games, but censoring "bottle of rum" to "bottle of soda" ?
