"Wolf riders"

I have just come up with my new concept party.

Party of six, three rawulf, three faerie. The faeries ride the wolves into combat!

Rawulf rogue (big bad wolf), valkyrie (righteous wolf), bard (howlin' wolf)
Faerie ninja, bishop, bishop

We'll probably let RFS run with us. He's the only one who could keep up. Can you see the picture? Wolves on two legs, working their way through the misty woods, faeries standing on their shoulders, with this utterly out-of-scope killer android in tow!

I am thinking of knocking off Saxx for the Soulful Sax, although I am not sure if that's possible. Collect light crossbows until the trynnie gadgeteer can double them up for me, build my divine alchemist and my "mental mage-it" until I can make some money on potions, gear up (dread spear from Bela, major supplies from the Umpani) and then kick butt!

I nearly always have dual bishops these days. There's more fun (difficulty, strategy) at the start but later it's more like "what fiendish spell will I hit them with next?" This whole party will probably be in dire peril in the beginning, but I think the "fun" aspect will carry me through.

Wish me luck!

The mental imagery is great. Faeries riding Rawulves into battle. Let us know how it is working out.

I don't see how they could avoid dire peril

I am glad myrddin came up with the idea for this forum ...

Hey, I resemble that remark!

Yes, this is a good forum. You can post party themes and provoke the same thinking in others to keep the game fun. The dificulties become more involving and less discouraging when you have a idea at heart. This is after all, role-playing.

And as for my Wolf riders:
"Into the valley rode the six hunters,
no wait, five, oops, now four,
oh, where's that darn waterfall..."

Rawulves need a little more benefit in the stats. The piety is good, but I think a senses boost as well would have fit the profile and I could really use an edge. It's a long, long way to Power Strike or any of the specials with this race.
