"Next RPG"

Since sirtech is no more, and Wizardry 8 is the last of its kind, what RPGs do you think should be played next? Personally, I can't wait for Middle Earth Online to come out (some time 2004?). Its a online, Lord of the Rings rpg w/ great graphics. What do you think?

The online games that I have played have no where near the depth of a Wizardry. For that matter, even other single player RPGs usually don't come close.

With all the problems associated with PC development (having to try to support different Operating Systems/Platforms, Graphics Cards, Sound Cards, etc.) ... I would not be surpised if the next great RPG came out on the console (which can be multi-player, since they can connect to the 'net).

Try Devil Whiskey. It's not on par with Wizardry, or Bard's Tale, but still pretty fun. I'm working on a Wizardry 1 mod for it, and a BT1 mod has already been released. The mods probably make the cost of the game worth it; IMO.
