Hi all,
Here's a dumb question, but one that's been nagging me. When you multiclass your characters, you lose some of their abilities. For example, I dualed Vi to Bard and found that I couldn't equip her polearms. The manual was pretty skimpy, but I infer that I'll get her polearm skill back when her Bard level equals her Valkrie levels, right?

Nope... Vi now has the skill bonuses and limitations of a Bard. I don't think it's actually dual-classing in the classic sense of the word. They say you can't go back to your former class once you've changed from one class to another. Not sure if it's true, but I'd strongly recommend not changing classes.

I love the way this new game is set up. All that watching attributes randomly adjust at levelup in v7 was annoying.

Nope, you can switch between classes whenever you want, even back to your old class. As for the polearm, she is now a bard & can't use them. She still has her magic skills but they will never get better with use either since bards don't have magic.

I also don't think you 'lose' the skill per se; the weapon simply isn't available to bards. If you find a polearm that can be used by a bard, you can equip and use it.

Class switches in Wiz8 require careful consideration and planning, unlike the earlier versions.
