What particular item do I need to open the door in the Rattkin Tree? And where do I find it? I have the blue marble that allowed me to to open the door to in upper Trynton. With only level 7/8 fighters how would I defeat the Oak Saplings that have over 300 hit points each?

u need to go marten's bluff to get the key...

draw the oak saplings out from the room into the no spell area.. i killed 3 of them using this tactic. They are too strong with their spell casting.. btw b4 drawing em out.. remember to cast those defensive spells on urself first... example.. enchanted blade.. haste(if u have it, or use a scroll) etc etc...

it's kinda hard to kill them on the spot... i was level 7/8 too.. hmm... i tried 3-4 times.. fedup either one of my character died or my only spellcaster kicked the bucket... well i guess party composition also play an important role...

well.. if u can kill him there and then.. by all means.. but if u can't try drawing em out.. it works for me.. but i couldn't get the drop from them.. i think it's needed by antone to create a weapon??

anyone knows where oaks appear again?

Thanks for your help. Where is the no magic area? I ran around the middle and was able to cast magic everywhere.

wait for some of the tyrian patrol or champion to passby and then
initiate combat...the patrol and champion will charge forward and do the fighting for you. each champion is about 200+ hp and
u just have to stand back , just enough to see the combat and cast your support spell....0 damage of me

almost any spelcaster can be reduced to a begging pile of weakness by merely casting silence. i took out the trees in like 4 rounds with a 10th level party.. it works
