Did you complete the games in Wiz 7, or just stop close to the end but without committing yourself to a single ending ? If you have a savegame that isn't "finished" you can do a lot of experimenting, like removing the Ebony Plate (U)(L) and replace it with good leathers. Then finish the game, save under a different name, and import that to Wiz 8. After you see what doesn't transfer, return to the original savegame and replace some equipment, buy some nice rocks from the guy in Rattkin Ruin, convert a samurai to bishop and level them up, whatever.
