"Another way to Ascension Peak"

Posted by godcipherpower on Oct-03-03 at 06:46 AM
There's a big ass wall on the way to Ascension Peak. Is there another way to get there besides the Northern Wilderness or do I have to destroy the wall somehow? I've completed everything, including dungeons and custom weapons and armor except for Steelhide Armor, Ebon Staff and Vampire Chain but that's only because the key elements are no longer obtainable. I'm ready to beat this game somebody please help!

i believe you have to have the destinae dominus, chaos morili, and the astral dominae and then talk to bela, and it should open...

No, the wall will stay there regardless what you do at this point. What you've got to do is go to the Rapax Castle and become templars if you haven't done that yet. Then, in the room behind Al-Sedexus' altar (the one with the book with your names in it) you can enter a portal to AP.

One more question. The Regen stone is lazurite stone right and what else? Just heard it mentioned and supposed it was the lazurite stone but it doesn't merge with anything.

You need a gadgeteer in your party, because the Regenerating Stone is a gadget. The other component you need are Electrodes; Anna in Arnika and (maybe, not sure) Crock sell these. Merging the Lazurite Stone with Electrodes will result in the Regenerating Stone, which has the same effect as the Dulcimer of Mending, except for the fact that you can still use it when you're silenced.

Thanx. I used the electrodes for Invigorator Belt but didn't know they had two uses. Anything else with two uses? I'm about to see the credits in seconds.

As far as I know only the Electrodes have more uses.

Only two?

There is only one way around it ... through Rapax castle and doing the initiation (becoming a Templar).

Only unusable items are gunpowder, pot with hinge and xray chip? Right?

if you merge an empty bottle with gunpowder, you'll get a noisemaker bomb, which you can throw to duplicate the 'Sonic Boom' spell. The pot with hinge can be merged with the porthole, found by the marina in Arnika by the crates (you need to search). It turns into a port-o-potty, which casts Noxious Fumes. The X-Ray chip can be merged with the Scanner, this one is found on the 2nd floor in the Mook building. It produces the X-Ray scanner, which casts X-Ray. This is a very useful spell because you can see all enemies/allies on your radar in the area, and if you use the automapper, you'll see all the mobs on the current map, if you're looking for experience.

The X-Ray chip is found on the second level of the spaceport building in Arnika. Left of the area where you would insert the "shiny ball" used as a toy by "Bobo" in Trynton.

I had done the Bobo thing (finally got the drugged meat to work, and figured out what I was "doing wrong" ... dropping it in from too high) ... but knew the answer, so didn't bother donig the spaceport.

And I should have remembered, most (or at least many) things you need are found near where you use them (i.e. the other part to that gadget is in Arnika as well).
