I got the key from the skeleton but the key doesn't work? this is very frustrating can anyone give me some ideas?

Where are you trying to use it? It doesn't go in the big door, you have to cross a chasm to get to the tomb.

I am trying to use it on the door with a lock, it has a big lock with a key hole. I tryed that and the one that is downstairs , the one where you break the wall.
