Certain areas move so slow that the characters complain. The area around Crock, the area leading to the mines. and area to portal house. There are some other areas also. Is this a bug, or too much graphics? I guess nothing can be done? I have got stuck in battles in these areas that go on for hours. It's the one thing I hate about this game.

try toning down the graphic quality settings, to minimum levels. maybe even use 640x480 resolution.
if it's better, even slightly, your system is to blame.
speaking of your system, what CPU, RAM, Video card, and Operating System (version of Windows) do you have? all are very important to the speed of Wiz 8, or for that matter, anything.

All is more than fine, except maybe video card. Problem is card is integrated into motherboard. Didn't know store ripped me off in this area until I wanted to upgrade card a year later. I know, I should of checked this or that, but I trusted them. I called them about why they lied about things, and all 6 stores of this small rip off business, is out of business. All their store phone numbers when I called, you get that " this number is disconnected recording. Since all else is more than fine, I'm sure it's the video card area, but all is great in game except for the three areas I metioned.

You can ususally disable the onboard controller and
install another, better, vid card.
