omg what a disapointment ........ this sword sucks ... i sure hope the light sword is far better !!!!!!! am in bayjin now and am reloadin til i get it this is 4th time thru game and aint seen it yet .. this time will try til i get it lol ....... hope it is worth it lol......... merritt

Excalibur is an excellent sword. I have never seen the light sword or shield in my games. I've heard of people reloading 100 times and not getting the light sword--not worth it IMO.

I once got 2 light swords, one in a hut and the other in Davy's Jones Locker.

I have always avoided Excalibur, from Wiz 6 to 7 to 8, for two reasons:

1) It is heavy. In Wiz 6 weight was a huge factor, in Wiz 7 it was a big factor and in Wiz 8 it is just a factor.

2) It is two-handed. I prefer two one-handed weapons with a high instant kill chance.

With a little bit of manipulating, you can get the Light Sword from the single-sentry Bayjin chest in an evening. I have never (maybe once) gotten it from the ghosts.
