"diluge of questions."

So after my first run through the game, there were several strange items that I never figured out the use for. What is the sacred tome for? I didn't know what the fellowship letter was for either, but the second time through, I gave it to Braffit in Arnika and he told me about the demon sting at the monastery. Was that the help that I was suppose to receive according to the letter? Is there someone else you can give it to? What about the sacred tome? What in the world is the blue flower for? I also had some king's cave key that I never used. Oh while I'm at it...where is this Rapax Queen I hear mentioned? I've been to the queen's bedroom etc and have never seen her. Who are the king's assassins? Why are they a faction of their own when I've never seen them? Are all my questions tied together somehow? :O) Is there a way to actually interrogate the two prisoners at the Rapax camp? I ended up doing the umpani + t'rang alliance thing but wondered if it's possible to finish the game allied with the rapax. What happens to the umpani and the t'rang? They promised to meet me at AP but I never saw them when I finished with the game. My most frustrating question of all is....HOW IN THE WORLD do you get the cobaltine power glove???? The game ends when you kill the dark savant. What's the point of having him drop something when you can't pick it up? Thanks for your patience guys.

(can be found by searching the board for these topics)

Sacred tome is just clue.
Same with fellowship letter (that you can also, I believe give to Anselm).
Blue flower is a clue to who kidnapped you (you see them all around someone's shack).
King's cave key is used to free the rapax queen at the away camp. Once you do, that is all there is to do, despite her dialogue (that appears to be a broken quest).
King's assasins are another apparently broken/unfinished/unimplemented quest.
You can talk to the prisoner's .. it has been to long since I have gone that route, to remember what they will say ... hardly matters, the point is to free them and have them join you to make the Umpani/T'rang alliance, by returning them to the leaders.
Meeting you at AP ... they never make - either a broken quest or the alliance did not last.

Cobaltine powerglove - hardly worth having it .... use the search feature for this answer.

In a way both the T'rang and the Umpani do meet you at Ascension Peak ur at least you find the remains of both parties. The monsters of AP had T'rang and Umpani for lunch ( BURP )

I just got the powerglove myself. Note that this makes the game "unwinnable", so keep a save from beforehand if you want to ascend again. Basically you have to choose either "tear out page" or "write in book", but then turn on Bela and kill him first, then walk outside the circle (basically right behind the DS is OK), then kill the DS. You won't ascend, and will be stuck in some buggy mode where you can move wherever you want but can't click anything. Walk back to Asension Peak and run around 'til you find monsters...once combat is initiated, the interface turns back to normal and after the fight you can go back to the circle. At this point the glove shows up as a normal "spinning" item that you can pick up. Not too bad to use as your alternate weapon; IIRC it was much better in Wiz7 as you could use it in your off hand and more races/professions could use it.

P.S. Even when you kill Bela this way, he still shows up in Mtn Wilderness and is cool with you. Strange.
