Does it do anything? You go up the lift, push the button to open the bay doors and extend the telescope, but then what? I unfortunately wiped out the T'rang by mistake. I pissed them off and then saved. They wouldn't forgive me, so I had no choice but to erradicate them. Now I'm allied with the Umpani. I went up there anyway, having successfully stolen the fake top security pass from Kunar, but then I couldn't find anything to do except wreck the ship, just for fun (I re-loaded game after that).

Funny, I also got Kunar to give me that pass by saying the correct thing and talking to him about my mission. He needs to brush up on his intel a little bit. The T'rang are all dead! LOL!
