"female gadgeteers?"

i've read that it's pretty much essential to create a female bard to use the endurance necklace in the game.

is the same true of gadgeteers? they should be female too, right?

i wonder why no tips or character creations strats mention making the gadgeteer female, and only the bard.

should i make all of my party female? as far as i can tell, there seems to be only benefits, there are no male only items and a few female only ones.

there's some problem with al-sedexus, apparently? how does that work.

which spells should i use my spell picks on? does anyone have an actual list? i'm not sure which ones i can find for free or just buy.

Problem with A-S is that while she is bi, her preference is toward males and RPC's are unacceptable.(at least in the most current version of the game ) Solution either have one male in your party that is not an RPC or drop all you male RPC's before you go through the final portion of the initiation.

Armorplate, Enchanted Blade, Missle Shield, and Magic Screen are the 4 basic long term party protecters and enhancers. After that whatever offensive and defensive spells you pick is purely up to you.

Spellbooks can be found or bought but the highest level spell you will find in a spellbook is a level 6 (only one) spell.

To elaborate a little more on what Avatar has already said, all spellbooks levels 1-5 can be bought or found excluding Mind Stab and Holy Water. Banish, a sixth level spell, is the one that can be found/bought.

Here is a link to a list of spellbooks that can be bought or found:

I must have found a Book of Holy Water since my Bishop has it and I would never take it as a pick. I am not sure where it came from, I had the spell when I entered the Cemetary because I used the Spell Holy water on the Trynie Ghosts at the entrance, worked good, not great.

You can get the Book of Holy Water as a drop from the Drone by the Savant's Tower in Arnika. I believe it pulls from Anselms's drop list. In one game I got the book the first time I fought the Drone. In my current game, I tried reloading about 20 times before I gave up (it's just one spell pick, right?). Braffit (and Anselm) can also be pickpocketed for a Book of Holy Water.

i just can't bring myself to pick pocket lord braffit. i was caught once and his voice, the look on his face and the sound of terrible disappointment made me feel SOOOO guilty.

I have no female characters in my party, with the exception of rpc Vi Domina. It hasn't hurt me one bit. Those female only items really aren't that awesome. The best stuff you'll find can be used by both genders, just class-dependent. I'm a guy though, so if you're a girl and want female characters, go for it!

No insult intended but, this sounds/looks like a female response to me.

I always use females for my Ranger, Bard or Gadgeteer.

My fiancee plays all females (you can even have a female Lord).

Made for a funny twist with the Al-Sedexus encounter.

In response to the Al-Sedexus encounter with an all female group. You must drop any male recruits (RFS-81 for example) BEFORE the **cough cough ahem** encounter.
