I'm in Rapax Rift with Vi and Madras.
Vi's skill values now show up in red in her status and she can't cast most of her spells, similarly, Madras' engineering skill is back at 27, which is pretty useless to me.
When I leave the rift, they return to normal. I assume this is because they are so scared? Nifty.

I first was kind of preturbed that RPCs wouldn't go where I wanted them too. So, I got mad and figured I will force themHad one cast enough spells to fall asleep then drug him along. Then all I heard was whining and complaining and noted the decreased perfomance ... what a unique twist!
