"Killing Templars"

Posted by titus (Guest) on Mar-28-03 at 07:55 AM
I’ve deliberately postponed becoming a templar to gain extra experience. I’ve found that the narrow corridors & sharp turns let me do very well against the Rapax common and the Templars don’t seem to mind.

I planned to go to the upper castle and continue do the same, only becoming a templar at the end. The first group I ran into, however, was a group of Templars. Not sure if I could kill them and still become one, I fled back downstairs.

Now previously, I ended up having to kill the constable and there was a message that the Templars were now hostile. I went to Al-Adryian (thinking I would revert to a saved game if he was hostile) but he didn’t give a damn.

Can I kill the wandering Templars in the upper castle without pissing of the Templar NPCs?

You can pretty much depopulate the entire castle, with the exception of the two guards (that tell you to talk to al-adryian, and take your money once you do). You can even kill al-adryian, both before and after the ceremony.

If you can still get to Ascension peak, near the statues and set a portal there, you don't ever have to become a templar.
