"I killed Crock..."

Posted by DCman (Guest) on Dec-10-01 at 03:05 PM
I killed Crock early in the game to see what was through the door he was blocking (couldn't figure out any other way to get by him). There were several good items found in the rooms behind him, so I figured it was OK to have killed him. But now I realize he never gave me the quest (I've read about it). Am I screwed or what?

I have no idea to be truthful, but I would doubt it.

In theory, if Crok is dead, he is unable to kidnap your party member and therefore, there is no quest.

The test will come when obtain the idol. If your party member dissappears, I would head back to Crocks place and check the upstairs chest to see if he/she is there.

You can kill him before or after he gives you the quest, the only difference will be the few experience points you get for the quest (from the monster you kill - it won't be in the game until you get the quest) versus what you got for Crock - probably not much (per character).

Besides, there's no real reason to kill Crock...well, at least until he blackmails you. After that, now, is a different story...

I don't get mad, I get even.......

I did the quest to be nice, and killed him once I got my guy back. It made me happy.
