"Help with healing"

Healing... how do you do it? Is there something you have to say to the priests or what? I went over the manual and I can't find anything!

you can either use potions or use a healing spell via priest, bishop, or any of the other classes that get divine spells. For a healing potion, in the character menu at the bottom is a row of commands, one of them (move the mouse over them and pause, it will say what they are) is "use". Click on that, and your mouse pointer turns into a point with a question mark. then just go over to your items, find the healing potion, and click on it.

for spells, in the regular screen, click on the person that will cast the spell, and at the bottom of the screen a couple icons will show up, one is for using (see above), the other is a book. click on the book, it brings up their spells. find the divine spell list, select heal wounds/heal all whichever you need, then select how strong you want it from the circles that will appear on the right, and then select which character to heal. that's it.

If you find one of those, just click on them. But they are limited use ... once you use them up, they are done.

In case you were actually asking "how do I get someone like Braffit to heal me as the game implies he might?" -- the answer is, you don't. You can't "buy" healing from npcs directly except as healing potions. I can't remember what it was, but something originally gave me the above idea my first time through...

The one inside Arnika, with the statue of Phoonzang in the middle, is an un-limited supply for healing hit points. The only drawback it that it heals only 1 hit point for every character per mouse-click. So, if you're fighter needs to recover 200 hit points, you have to click 200 times.

I have a Portal set here for this and one set in Trynton for un-limited Mana recovery. The one in Trynton will also randomlly Hex one or more characters but it's not all that often and if you have a caster with the Remove Curse spell you can remove the Hexxed condition.

That remove curse will un-hex a character ... until now, nothing i had tried, short of just resting, would do it. Thanks!

Yes, the spell only though. For some reason the Bishop's built-in remove curse ability doesn't work.

I'm guessing it was for balance reasons. Every one would have a Bishop in their party for the ability to remove the Hex condition without any limits.

I only recently found this out from another board. What's really cool is that out of combat you have the "auto-calibrate" option for power level. Similar to the "re-cast until fully healed" option with the Heal Wounds spell when you cast out of combat.
Don't have to guess what power level to cast to remove the Hex condition.
