Help!! These sprite are killing me very quickly. What is the trick to getting rid of them??

come back later. Enchanted Blade, Armorplate, Magic Screen are all useful if cast beforehand.
Bless, haste, soul shield, and other protective spells in the first round.
Sleep, web, hold monsters, slow, antimagic, and other disabling spells on them fast.
try all spells. if you practice mythology, right click one (or ctrl-right click) and see what they are weak versus
if nothing else, it gives you a good indication of how tough they will be to eliminate, and how much you need to flail away to get one.
