The Keeper of the Crypt in Sea Caves dropped this giant sword when I killed him. None of my characters can use it. What is it's use??

Check the "Race" tab when you're checking an item.
If it is the "Giant's Sword", only a Mook can equip it. IIRC, the Mook can be Fighter,Lord,Valk,Samurai and Ranger to equip the Giant's Sword.
Similar to but not as restrictive as the Cane of Corpus.

I have heard of the Cane of Corpus, but I don't know how to get it. Can you describe it's stats. Who can use it?

Only fairy ninjas can use the cane.

As stated above, only a Faerie Ninja can use the Cane of Corpus. It is thought by most to be the best single handed, short range staff in the game.
It's a cursed item though. When equiped, it forces you to use either magic or toss powders,potions and magic sticks for long/extended range attacks.
The rattkin boss, Don Barlone, has it on him. You have to either kill him for it or if your pick-pocket skill is high enough AND you don't have the latest patch(pick-pocket is nerfed) you may be able to steal it from him. It's a random drop but the chances of getting it is very high if you take him out.
I highly recommend you save before attempting to take him out.
He's tough if your guys are low levels and you may not get it the first time you kill him.

As stated, only a Mook can use it - I have a Mook , but she is a bard, and can't use it - can only assume all other mook can use it except a bard.

Actually, once you run into the Rapax and the Rapax Mage NPC (Sorry, forgot his name but I'm sure most of you already know who I'm talking about) you can have him join your party and change him from a mage to a fighter or ranger and he will be able to use the Giant Sword as well. This also actually adds the Rapax Race tab onto your item listings as well. Afraid to say I've never actually tested this out myself but I have seen that the Giant Sword is able to be equiped by Rapax, and that I've heard it mentioned on this board or the other board once or twice before.
