"** SPOILERS **"

Now that I have your attention ....

There have already been a few spoilers posted in this conference pertaining to areas, how to kill various monsters, etc. Once the game comes out (in 10 days!!!!), the volume of spoiler posts and spoiler requests is likely to greatly increase.

What do you think of starting a wiz8 spoilers Conference, as opposed to just writing ** SPOILER ** in the subject line or text of every relevant message? This would be of use to people who wish to play the game unassisted, or at least would like to choose when to get help. It would also help those in need of specific help, as they would more likely find they information they need quickly.

Of course the current wiz8 conference would remain for general discussion, technical assistance, etc.

Anyway, just a thought. What d'ya think?

But what happens in the *regular* forum when someone requests help? Will the answer be posted in the *spoiler* forum?

Then why not make a spoiler-free forum for Wiz 8?

I guess the idea would be that people would be encouraged to NOT ask for help (at least not help that would require a spoiler type ansewer - like how to solve a quest, etc.) in the "regular" forum. If they did, they could be redirected to the spoiler forum for the answer, as you said.

P.S. I hope I'm not proposing anything that'll end up just making more work for you Rick

Bandwidth. I have a huge monthly allotment, but usage is skyrocketing - to the point that it may exceed my limit. I could buy more, but that is really expensive. My main concern with splitting the forum is what that might do to traffic.

mmmm... I see your point.

Unfortunately, if you're approaching at your limit now, in about 2 weeks you're going to be WAY over. I'd say you can anticipate _at_least_ double the current usage. Time to start passing around the collection plate, I guess...

But it is enough to take notice. The jump has already been on an order of magnitude, so I hope we don't double where we already or - I this month will run over.

Nov 4th was the peak so far, last I checked at almost 400MB of traffic. Most days are in the 200MB range. If every day was like that, it would put us at about 80% capacity.

I am looking into alternatives for getting more bandwith, but nothing seems real promising (read - it is really expensive).

Well, I might be able to help....

I have plenty of space on my school webpage account, and there is no traffic limit.

Maybe we should redirect traffic to Gamefaqs. Their Wizardry 8 board could use some life. Pity that they don't keep records if a post dies out.
