Maybe this is a dumb question but, Im in the sea caves and have found martens tomb, I used the sledgehammer already, and have the helm of serenity, how do I get inside? and also what is the hook&line and wooden plank for?. Thanks!!!!!!!!!

you need to use the hook & line to get up a level. You will need to put the plank down over a crevass. Then you can get to Martens Tomb. I dont think you have gotten there yet. The locked door behond the wall you used the sledgehammer on is not how you get to Martens Tomb.

Actually it is,but you can't open it from that side. One of the things Marten gives you is a key. That key unlocks that door from the other side where Marten's tonb is.
