I killed don barlone and got the cane of corpus, but my ninja (a mook) couldn't use it. Why?

And you can see all about the item, including which classes and races can use it.

I know that. I right clicked but no race restrictions appeared. A bug?

NO, no bug. Just right click, then select the race button at the top.

During my entire first game, I never noticed the "Race" tab when I right-clicked an item to see what profession coud use it.

I only discovered it when someone on the boards mentioned it.

Since then, I've noticed that when you recruit an RPC of a race that you CAN'T choose at creation(Trynnie, Rapax, T'Rang), that race gets added to the tab.

I now ALWAYS check the "Race" tab in addition to checking what profession(s) can use an item.
