It was on a stand inside one of the doors, forget which one.

Couldn't recall which one though ... either near the guy you pay off (after getting the go ahead from Al-Adryian) or near the entrance to the dark altar ... Tools for Wizardry(r) 7

I think it is the right hand door since you use it after entering the left hand door.
