"Crashing Question"

Posted by Atnoe Akaysha (Guest) on Nov-21-02 at 09:01 AM
I have had the game for long time. Been reading this board for eeven longer. My one question is...

Is it normal when you click on a door without the right item in your hand for it to crash to desktop?

I appreciate any help anyone can give. And if I need a patch where can I go to get it and how do I install it?

Thanks for your time all.

The patches (or links to them) were listed on the www.wizardry8.com web site, last I checked.

I have had tyhis game quite a few months now, never completed but keep refining my characters...i have never known the game to crash though...are you sure you havent spilt coffee on the machine? this is one of the most stable programs around ( even on my pitifully slow 450mhz machine )so i would suggest maybe closing down all non-essentail programs in the background....

I have found those to be the most important thing, with this game. I have had a crash here and there, but I agree ... most stable game I have bought in a long time.

FWIW, I am able to have a lot of other background (Norton AV, MS Office toolbar, internet connection, etc.) and application programs (Netscape, chess client, windows paintbrush, etc.) running while playing Wiz 8 ... another testament to its stability.
