I'm sure that in a previous game I killed a rattkin in the rat tree and it dropped an ankh but now I'm killing them like they're going out of fashion and not a sniff of one. They do drop the occaional ankh don't they or does something have to happen in the game before they start dropping them?

Some of the Rattkin have a small percentage chance of dropping Anhks.

Maybe the game's item randomizer is affected by your party's character types and classes and/or levels?
