I have just formed an alliance with Z'Ant of the T'Rang and agreed to go and get the flag from the Umpani.

I thought to myself, before I go running off, I will just have a look round for Marten's Words & Idol. Found the Words - no problem. Found the Idol - only a slight problem, accidentaly slaughted the guards in the restricted area before the Teleport device. The T'Rang seem to have become upset with me. As a result I had to slaughter every T'Rang I met after this unfortunate accident and Z'Ant keeps trying to kill me as well. Don't want to kill Z'Ant yet (O.K. he is just too hard!).

Have I just missed out on the T'Rang quests or have I caused myself a major problem for the rest of the game?

Well, I believe you have missed out on the T'rang quests, but on the bright side, look at all the experience you can get slaughtering every T'rang you see.

Yes, I do seem to have picked up 2 or 3 levels while I was wandering round! I also picked up so much stuff that I could hardly walk anymore.

This is one of the reasons the game is replayable. Since you've messed up with the T'Rang (unless you can go back to save before you did this) you *must* play at least a second time with a different party and try the things you won't get to do this time through.

In answer to your question, NO, you did not cause yourself a major problem. You will be able to complete the game just fine.

Thanks for your comments chaps.
I had a save from not too long before the "accident" with the T'Rang, so I decided to go back and carry on without upsetting them (for the time being, anyway). Shame about all those X.P.'s though.
