I'm having problems getting gadgeteer items (High-V transformer, magic polish etc.) from Crock. They don't show in his inventory when I try buying them, no matter how often I rest. The only way I seem to be able to get them is by killing the guy, but I don't want to do that... maybe I'll need him some day or other.
How can I get them?

One thing that seems to work is to buy up a bunch of cheap items, like stones, arrows, and bolts. sleep 24 hours and see what his inventory has filled up with.
