"disappearing objects (little spoiler)"

what a strange issue: yesterday i obtained the wheel key from the crypt in arnika
today i was wandering when i remembered i had to go back to the monastery to use that key (well, i suppose i need it there)
i went to the place and... i cannot find that key anymore! not on pcs, not in party inventory, nowhere
i thought i dropped it accidentally and i walked all the way back, and explored every place in arnika too
i've not a so good memory... perhaps i gave it to somebody? i suppose not...
btw, the fastest way to go around this should be an effective editor, but i cannot find any useful one

any other suggestion?
thanks

Where you first got it ... ? I have had items disappear due to reloading (without having first saved at some way point, like obtaining a specific item).

You can probably sell it, since it is not an item required to finish the game. And oncec sold, there is no guarantee howe long vendors hang on to items.

and even if i could be dumb enough to sell it, i checked every vendor in arnika (i've been only there since when i obtained the wheel key) MINUTES after losing it (had a previous saved game)
i even checked the roads between arnika and the monastery, without luck...
i think only an editor could save me

and i don't care if it wasn't "an item required to finish the game": i was playing that way and i want to keep it
