I have this problem. I recruited Madras the Trynnie Gadgeteer. His Omnigun was mk 4, my gadgeteer has a mk 7. My gadgeteer is using a musket so I let Madras use my mk 7. Well when i went to get the idol, my gadgeteer drew the short straw and so he's gone. The problem is that Madras won't let me take my omnigun back, he keeps saying its his. What can I do?

Get into some fights, put him in the front & not heal him when it's over, he'll die, you take your gun & resurrect him after. Or run around till his stamina is down & he falls unconcious.
Or you can take the easy way out & just fire his ass, he's drop all his stuff into inventory (he should but I can't be sure of that, since VI won't drop her stupid mace).

I already tried dumping him, he keeps it. I'll try knocking him out.

You probably won't be able to pry iy from his dead or incapacitated hands. I tried this with Urq, who has a ring of protection. You can't take it from him, unless you give him another one. But then, once you have his, you can't take the second one you gave him.

And even when dead, you can't take an RPC's personal items. Looks like you have to give Madras back his gun to get yours back.

The problem is that he thinks both of them are his. I tried prying mine from his unconcious hands but the computer thinks they are both his. I guess its a glitch Sir-Tech needs to fix. Until they do I'm stuck with him in my party.
