OK I'm stuck. I have no idea how to open the big door with the circle lock, the one through the portal. I have the wand\key, and the sanctum key. What do I use them for? And what is the door throught the other portal, how do I open that?

Where you have two to choose from, one goes to the area with the big lock, the other goes to where you use the sanctum key. After using the sanctum key, the next fight (straight ahead, not to the right) will yield the item you need for the big lock.
